New Anime Alert: Why Nukitashi Might Be the Most Outrageous Show of the Year
If you're on the hunt for something new, bold, and completely unfiltered, Nukitashi (Nukige Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Watashi wa Dou Surya Ii Desu ka?) is an anime you need to check out.
This isn’t your average seasonal show. It’s chaotic, absurdly funny, and packed with social satire, hidden beneath a thick layer of ecchi, adult humor, and over-the-top situations. Whether you love that or hate it, one thing is clear: Nukitashi refuses to be ignored.
What is Nukitashi?
Originally released in 2018 as an adult visual novel by Qruppo, Nukitashi quickly gained notoriety for its outrageous premise and surprisingly sharp writing. The story has now been adapted into a full-blown anime series, which premiered in July 2025.
Set on Seiran Island, a fictional place where a law called the Doskebe Ordinance forces citizens to engage in "perverted" behavior, or else face punishment, Nukitashi follows a resistance group fighting against this bizarre and oppressive society.
Yes, you read that right: on this island, not being horny is a crime.
What Makes Nukitashi Stand Out?
While on the surface Nukitashi may seem like just another ecchi series, there's actually a lot more going on:
- Satirical Undertones: Beneath the fan service is a surprising amount of social commentary. Nukitashi pokes fun at censorship, moral policing, and the clash between personal freedom and public morality.
- Genre-Bending: It jumps between comedy, action, erotica, and even drama. It’s chaotic, but intentionally so.
- Unapologetically Bold: The show leans into its NSFW roots with gusto. Expect different levels of censorship depending on where you watch (TV, streaming, or Blu-ray versions).
- Strong Visuals and Sound: With direction by Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Happy Sugar Life, Are You Lost?) and animation by Studio Passione, it’s visually polished and stylishly absurd.
A Word of Warning…
Nukitashi is not for everyone. It’s a love-it-or-hate-it kind of show. If you’re uncomfortable with sexual content, satire that pushes boundaries, or characters constantly in ridiculous situations, this may not be your vibe.
However, if you enjoy shows like:
- Shimoneta
- Prison School
- KonoSuba (but much more NSFW)
- Redo of Healer (minus the extreme violence)
…you’ll probably enjoy what Nukitashi has to offer.
Final Thoughts
Nukitashi might be the wildest anime to drop this year. It’s ridiculous, daring, and unashamed of what it is, and sometimes, that’s exactly what makes an anime memorable.
Whether you're here for the satire, the fanservice, or just to see what all the chaos is about, Nukitashi is a ride worth taking... if you dare.
Watch it if you:
- Like ecchi, satire, or absurd comedy
- Don’t mind heavy adult themes.
- Want something different from your usual seasonal anime
Skip it if you:
- Prefer wholesome, slice-of-life, or action-heavy series
- Are uncomfortable with explicit or suggestive content
- Aren’t into comedy that crosses lines
